I'm Cynna - Cynthia Davis. I like to make things that you could dance in or walk on the beach barefoot, so I work on creating flowy floaty wispy designs that move in the wind. If you want to get married on an island or in the woods, I want the dress to look amazing and be easy to maneuver and be yourself in. I love unexpectedness and tiny bits of embellished beauty in little areas of the designs.

I love designing and find recreating a design over and over is tiring, so I do many designs - one time. I make lots of wedding and evening gowns. I also create one of a kind and limited edition fashion. I do a lot of eco chic - altered from vintage or upcycled clothing. I also create for new materials, both eco friendly and less so. Most of my gowns are only made once and in only a single size. Happily, most of these have a fair range of fitting room due to fabrics and ease, so they can fit a few sizes.

Everything is hand made or hand altered by me. I'm the only person involved in my shops and business - CynthiaDavisDesigns. I source fabrics and supplies to create from existing garments. I use new , upcycled and vintage fabric and garments in my designs and note in the description the upcycled components. I have allergies and make rigorous washing and drying and repeating that process a regular part of using upcycled fabrics and garments. I don't work on it until I'm sure it is as clean and as free of fragrance as possible. If I can't get it clean, I don't use it. I also do all the photos (except fashion shows), listing, emailing and package and mail everything.

I design mostly in my head and while draping on a dress form. I have a few of these in a range of sizes and also have a mannequin for displaying things like hemlines that need legs :) I have a home studio with a serger and sewing machine and a big cutting table where I do most of my designing. I keep my fabrics in big storage drawers and tubs and have a problem keeping pins from migrating to other rooms.
